We’re happy to announce a new and exciting feature that will bring freedom of association to Gays.com: GROUPS!
Anyone can now create a group on Gays.com – based on shared interests, activities, causes or just for random fun :-) In this first version of the feature, group members can start or participate in discussions. As the group owner who created a group, you will be able to moderate discussions and decide which ones receive prominent attention by making them “sticky” so they stay at the top of the discussion board. The groups feature is already pretty integrated with your Livefeed, so you will be informed about new discussions in your groups, new members, and see which groups your friends are joining.
Here are a few ideas for groups that anyone can set up:
- Fans of Kylie Minogue
- LGBT expatriates in Tokyo
- London gay entrepreneurs networking group
- Gay Muslims in Los Angeles
- The pre-op FTM support group
If you have added a listing on CityScene a while ago for your business or organisation, you might want to take the next step and create a group so you can maintain regular contact with your audience! Very soon, you will be able to subscribe to discussions that you’re interested with our new “Follow”-function. Also, it will be possible to upload pictures to the group.
As always, this is a new feature that will contain a few bugs here and there, so do please let us know if you find any!
