Although what happened during this announcement may appear to be bad to someone who has never served in the military, we need to keep in mind that the military is here to protect ALL of our citizens and they are NOT allowed to show support to any political party, decision, or justures. The senior military leaders did what was right by staying seated. As far as we know, as least three of them are of the gay community and wished they could have jumped for joy, but proper military bearing does not allow such display of any emotion. Kinda like the guards at Buckingham Palace, no matter what you do or say, they will not even smile. You can bash them all you want, that is the great thing about this country-freedom of speech and those military leaders who just sat there are just a few of the people who have made sacrifices to ensure that freedom continues. Until you serve in the military or are willing to make THAT type of sacrifice (such as the civilian contractors), your freedom of speech, as far as the military is concerned, should be very limited.
