As many of you know by now, Heath Ledger is dead. His body was found in his apartment and apparently, the 28 year old Australian star of Brokeback Mountain was found with pills strewn all around him. While his autopsy has remained inconclusive, police do not suspect any foul play. Leadger’s body has just left a New York funeral home to be flown to Australia:
- In the meanwhile, Fox news radio host John Gibson has finally apologised for mocking remarks he made about the death of Ledger during one of his shows. He had initially refused to apologise, but relented after continued calls for him to be fired.
- Never one to pass up on an opportunity to draw attention to themselves, the Westboro Baptist Church which has a web presence at GodHatesFags.com has announced that Ledger is “now in Hell, and has begun serving his eternal sentence there”. His crime? Starring in the “sordid, tacky bucket of slime seasoned with vomit known as Brokeback Mountain“. Their plans to picket Ledger’s memorial in the US has drawn the ire of the Australian Baptists.
- Actress Michelle Williams has arrived back in New York with the couple’s two-year-old daughter. After their split, they were said to have created identical bedrooms for Mathilda in their homes so that the child would not feel displaced.
