This poor girl probably had no clue that the panel of judges facing her included a flaming homo — namely the one asking her the question. Needless to say, she did not win the crown.
How should she have answered the question? Post your thoughts in the comments section below!

While there wasn’t any right or wrong answer to the question (given this was a popularity contest, not one of morals), I think she would have been more popular if she took the middle ground and admitted that it was a sensitive question, and there was no simple answer to it.

Gay marriage has nothing to do with popularity, it is a basic human right….to think otherwise is a huge mistake. The ‘great’ USA needs to take a lead from Canada and legalize the right to marriage for all people.

I think she looked liked the idoit that she is. She probably insulted half her staff (make-up/ hair/ etc.) !! Gay rights are human rights, no different from women being able to vote or African American’s being able to marry whites,or go to white schools. It’s not like your from Texas Miss Cali!!

She wasn’t being offensive towards gays, she just stated her belief system which happens to be different than the people who were upset. People are all entitled to opinions. It doesn’t make you a bad person if it is different than what you think it should be. Freedom of speech is there for everyone. She never said this opinion is the beliefs of her state. I give her kudos on standing on her own thoughts.

Perez Hilton is a hypocrite — of course the question was about personal belief, just look at how he’s reacting

She wasn’t offensive indeed. Too bad, that would really give me a reason to be pissed(A)
