And then there’s Dustin Lance who totally rocked our boat with this emotional and moving personal story when he went up the stage to pick up his award for Best Original Screenplay.

    Sean’s speech was great from the activism angle, but for me Dustin’s really packed the biggest punch, maybe not with the haters, but with the young kids feeling lost and lonely who really need someone like him to speak up for them.

    Historic, moving and so very right. “For all its toughness”, yes and by voting Obama and Milk in the same aeon, the same America that outlawed slavery and racism will one day come to embrace its otherness.
